There was nothing on the map to indicate that the route along I-84 from Rufus to Boise would be scenic, but were we in for an enjoyable surprise! From flat lands to long grades, the drive seemed shorter than it would have on some interstates. It was hard to imagine that the Oregon Trail ran along this route from 1842 to 1880. What must the pioneers have thought when they reached this area with their wagons? For views through our windshield click on the picture:
